We are thrilled to announce that Ivanhoe Wines has been featured as a destination on the brand-new Hunter Valley Monopoly board game! This limited edition game turns our wine region into a playful journey of discovery and competition, with Ivanhoe Wines proudly represented at the Marrowbone Road stop. Developed by Cessnock City Council, this local version of the beloved board game showcases the diverse tourist attractions across the Hunter Valley, from Laguna in the South to Lake St Clair in the North.

The idea for the Hunter Valley Monopoly was inspired by a community survey that garnered over 650 responses, highlighting the region's strong communal spirit and its status as a top tourist destination. Officially released on September 23, 2023, the game has already captured the imagination of locals and visitors alike, making it a sought-after collector’s item.

Mayor Jay Suvaal of Cessnock emphasised that the game is a novel way to promote the Cessnock Local Government Area and its many attractions. “Seeing the streets and destinations we know and love on this special edition Monopoly board is incredibly exciting,” he said.
