Our Favourite Hunter Valley Restaurants

The Hunter Valley is famous for its exceptional dining experiences and is home to some of the best restaurants in Australia. From casual eats to fine dining, there is a restaurant to suit all taste buds. With so many highly rated restaurants to choose from, it can be hard to decide where to go - especially when you are only in the area for a short time.

We’re so fortunate to be able to dine in the Hunter on a regular basis. Below is just a sample of some of our favourites.

Best Breakfast

Restaurant Cuvee

A popular favourite with wedding guests the morning after and famous for their post-ballon ride champagne breakfasts.

Fine Dining

Muse Restaurant

The winner of two chefs hats, Muse presents constantly changing seasonal menus with a consistent culinary approach: technique, restraint and respect.

Bistro Molines

Robert Molines is widely considered the godfather of Hunter Valley dining. He and his wife, Sally, arrived in the Hunter in the early days of the valley’s wine industry and paved the way for the regions love affair with food.

This award-winning restaurant is renowned for its fresh, local produce, fine wines and innovative cuisine.

Relaxed / Casual Dining

Pronounced bow-may, the best local ingredients are sourced and treated with love to create a casual family-style dining experience. The menu offers delicious share plates and house-made wood-fired pizza.

Blaxland Inn

Famous for hearty meals, friendly staff and country comfort atmosphere. Come here for incredible steaks and excellent wine selection.

With a menu designed to share, this is the perfect place to catch up with friends. Enjoy a relaxed dinner while sipping on one of their innovative cocktail creations.

Muse Kitchen

The sister venue to Muse. This busy, fun European Bistro style restaurant is perfect for a long lunch when day tripping to the Hunter.
